We teach safety, not fear.
InfoGalaxis starts from the idea that the digital world is full of opportunities. Children need to learn to recognise signs, stop, make safe decisions and ask for help.
How the method worksFirst a story. Then a conversation. Finally, practice.
Rules on their own are easy to forget. A rule connected to an experience, a character and a decision is much easier to recall.
The digital world is not an enemy.
The aim is for children to use technology confidently and thoughtfully, without being afraid of it.
The adult is a partner in thinking.
We look for clues together, discuss decisions and make asking for help feel natural.
Knowledge is the reward.
There is no leaderboard and no shaming. Shared success means that children recognise what they can do safely.
A simple thinking process we can use in real situations too.
I recognise
I notice when something seems unusual, urgent or too good to be true.
I stop
I do not have to reply, open something or click straight away.
I act safely
I choose an action that protects my information, my account and me.
I tell an adult
If I am unsure, I ask a trusted adult.
You do not need to be a digital expert.
Knowing every app or risk matters less than your child knowing they can come to you when something is uncertain.
Short, shared situations. Topics to discuss straight away.
Interactive missions can be used on a whiteboard, projector or tablet. Children think together while the teacher leads the discussion.
Less visual noise. The same story and the same safety idea.
The pictogram version uses a shorter, more structured and visually simpler format for children who may find the full illustrated book too stimulating.
Children should feel able to explore – and to ask for help.
This is the basis of InfoGalaxis safety at home and at school.
